Event DescriptionSpecial strands for concurrent sessions include : “Ask the Expert”, which will have state and local “experts” on topics such as assessment, behavior management, reading, early intervention and transition available for question and answer sessions; and, “Success Stories”, which will have parents, students and/or teachers presenting their own personal special education successes. Additionally, mini-workshops will be held on topics such as:
  • assessment and evaluation techniques
  • behavior management strategies
  • effective teaching strategies
  • low-incidence disabilities
  • assistive technology
